"Cutting through the Smog of Michigan's Smokefree Air Law", was the title of a presentation by attorney Clark A. Andrews at the Summer Educational Conference which was co-sponsored by the Public Corporation Law Section of the Michigan State Bar Association and the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys. This June 25-26, 2010 seminar held in Mackinac Island was attended by 50 municipal attorneys. The seminar covered Michigan's new smoking rules applicable to public places and food service establishments, the obligations imposed upon owners and operators of such facilities, exemptions of the law, penalties and enforcement options, the role of municipalities and uncertainties of the law.
Mr. Andrews has practiced extensively in municipal law with particular emphasis in the planning and zoning, municipal contracts, telecommunication and economic development areas.
