David W. MacDonald

Mr. MacDonald is a shareholder of the firm and is the Chairperson of the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Group of the firm. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial real estate acquisitions, sales and leases, condominium and subdivision development, mergers and acquisitions, business formations, loan documentation and review, and estate planning. His clients include banks, real estate developers, car dealerships, manufacturers and other business owners.

Mr. MacDonald has: i) negotiated and drafted commercial leases for large malls and high rise office buildings; ii) represented physicians in their leasing of space in and ownership of medical facilities; iii) prepared the real estate development documents for large condominium and subdivision developments; iv) prepared the documentation for the purchase and sale of franchise businesses; and v) prepare the documentation for bank loans and loan workouts.

Along with his law degree from DePaul University, Mr. MacDonald also has a business degree from the University of Michigan. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. MacDonald was a cost and financial analyst for Manufacturer's Bank. Mr. MacDonald is also a licensed real estate salesperson in the State of Michigan.
