On May 4, 2006, Donald P. DeNault, Jr. was a speaker at an annual seminar entitled "Freedom of Information Act in Michigan." This event was presented by Lorman Education Services, and was designed for attorneys, city clerks, records managers, law enforcement officials, city managers, county and municipal administrators, board members, public relations directors, and journalists. This one-day event was held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Dearborn. Mr. DeNault presented an update on recent Open Meetings Act court opinions, as well as an overview of common law enforcement and public records issues under the Freedom of Information Act. Mr. DeNault's presentation was very-well received, and one attendee even listed Mr. DeNault's written materials as the "biggest benefit received" from the seminar.
