O'Reilly Rancilio P.C. is once again doing its part to help in the fight against cancer. Last year, nearly 50 employees and family members at O'Reilly Rancilio participated in the first annual Sterling Heights Relay for Life. The law firm expects even greater participation in this year's event, scheduled for June 2, 2006 at Sterling Heights High School. The event is a 24-hour walk that celebrates survivorship and raises money for programs and research for the American Cancer Society. During the event, teams take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times, to symbolize the ongoing fight against cancer. O'Reilly Rancilio is once again a sponsor of the event, and will set up a booth at the event. The booth will have food and drink items available to raise money. In addition, this year the firm's attorneys are providing a moonwalk that children and adults can enjoy throughout the event. All funds raised through the use of the moonwalk will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The staff is also selling Luminaria Bags for $10 each. Luminaria Bags are laid along the track and burn throughout the night in honor or memory of someone who has had cancer. To sponsor a person who is walking the track, to purchase a Luminaria Bag, or to otherwise contribute to O'Reilly Rancilio's sponsorship of this event, please call 726-1000.
