Eric C. Turnbull is an associate in the firm's business law, litigation, and governmental law practice groups, and focuses his practice in the areas of business transactions, corporate formation and documentation, intellectual property, and commercial litigation. Eric has worked extensively with businesses across various industries, and concentrates his practice on meeting the broad array of the legal challenges faced by businesses and providing effective counsel for both growing and established businesses. Eric has experience representing companies in acquisitions, real estate transactions, employment matters, vendor contracts, non-competition agreements, confidentiality agreements, and trademark prosecution and brand protection.
Eric is also an experienced litigator, and has tried cases in both state and federal courts, focusing in the areas of commercial disputes and municipal litigation, as well as appeals before the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Eric graduated from De La Salle Collegiate High School in 2005, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 2009, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Wayne State University in 2012. While in law school, he served as Senior Note Editor on the Journal of Law in Society. Eric was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2012 and is licensed to practice before all Michigan State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is also a member of the Macomb County Bar Association, the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association, and the State Bar of Michigan Character and Fitness District D Committee.
