One of Macomb County’s most highly-regarded and respected attorneys, Russell “Russ” LaBarge Jr., has been practicing law for more than 50 years. Mr. LaBarge is an expert in municipal law having served as a city attorney for several municipalities, including his current role as the Richmond Township City Attorney. For 40 years he was the Harper Woods City Attorney, a position that was recently filled by his associate, Share DeWaele. From 1974-1992, Mr. LaBarge worked as the Roseville City Attorney.

In addition to municipal law, Mr. LaBarge works as a probate and estate planning attorney. He has also served as Macomb County Public Administrator since 1998. He is past president of the Macomb County Bar Association.

A community advocate, Mr. LaBarge devotes a significant amount of time to community activities and groups. He is the past president of the Roseville Rotary Club and Metro East Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed by the Macomb County Board of Commissions as Chairman of the 32 member Blue Ribbon Commission on Lake St. Clair, a distinguished commission of experts, business people and other interested individuals who seek solutions to Lake St. Clair pollution.

In his spare time Mr. LaBarge enjoys reading books about history and biographies, running, playing golf, and visiting South Carolina.
