A Macomb County native, Linda McGrail, a shareholder with the firm, has strong roots and a sense of commitment to the community. The Utica City Council and its mayor appointed Ms. McGrail City Attorney in April of 2017, and she’s proud to serve the city she has called home for most of her life.
Ms. McGrail is an experienced trial attorney specializing in business, family law, probate, and tax appeals. She has successfully litigated a variety of cases including business disputes, disputes involving non-compete agreements, stock purchase agreements, wrongful discharge, shareholder disputes (including those involving minority oppression), trademarks, automotive suppliers, contracts, debt collection manners, construction lien claims, tax assessments, and fraud claims. She has also handled family law and probate litigation.

Ms. McGrail has served as a Macomb County Commissioner and an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Macomb County. She also served as Chair of the Utica Charter Revision Commission. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Macomb and is a graduate of Leadership Macomb VIII. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Hope Center, a food pantry for the needy. She is a former President and Treasurer of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan–Macomb Region and Director of the Macomb County Bar Association.
In 1996, Ms. McGrail graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School, where she received the prestigious Order of the Coif. She also served as Assistant Editor of the Wayne Law Review and received the Driker Award for the highest grade point in the first year of school. Before law school, Ms. McGrail received her Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University where she majored in International Relations and minored in Japanese.
Ms. McGrail is the mother of three boys who are active in the Clinton Valley Little League and attend Chippewa Valley Schools.
