Real Property Legislative Update: Act 39, Public Acts of 2015

Real Property Legislative Update: Act 39, Public Acts of 2015 was approved by the Governor on June 1, 2015 for immediate effect. This Act requires County Treasurers to furnish copies of their records for a fixed fee. An important change caused by this Act is that tax certifications for Warranty Deeds, Covenant Deeds and Land Contracts are raised to a fee of $5.00 (previously $1.00), however the number of tax parcels to be certified on any one document has not been clearly established.
