The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), First State Bank, O’Reilly Rancilio P.C., and the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry will partner to host “Cyber, Crypto & Fraud: What Your Business Needs to Know about Navigating Risk” on Jan. 12, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at the Velocity Center in Sterling Heights.
The free seminar includes continental breakfast and will offer tips on how to utilize and secure cryptocurrency, red flags to watch for and types of fraud, emerging regulations, how to secure cryptocurrency, and more.
As the use of cryptocurrency becomes more prevalent, it is important to understand how it’s used, and the cybersecurity and fraud risks related to crypto. Cryptocurrency is not legal tender in the United States, however, crypto exchanges are legal.
The goal of the seminar is to educate local business owners and the public regarding the risks they are taking if they choose to use cryptocurrency, explore the connection between crypto and cybercrime, and offer the latest in cybersecurity.
