Linda McGrail Belau Appointed City Attorney of City of Utica

Linda McGrail BelauFollowing a competitive hiring process where several prominent attorneys were considered, the City of Utica unanimously voted on June 13, 2017 to appoint Linda McGrail Belau, a shareholder at O’Reilly Rancilio, P.C., as its new city attorney. Ms. McGrail Belau was previously appointed as interim city attorney in April 2017.

Ms. McGrail Belau is honored to have been selected to this position and excited to serve this community, where she was raised. Ms. McGrail Belau previously served as the Chair of the Utica Charter Revision Commission in the 1990s. She also represented Utica, Sterling Heights and Shelby Township on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners from in 1997-99. Linda McGrail Belau is a shareholder with the law firm of O’Reilly Rancilio, P.C. and is a highly experienced trial lawyer. She also drafts legal documents and advises municipalities and businesses with regard to their legal risks, obligations and compliance issues.
