Tax Matters

O'Reilly Rancilio's Michigan real estate and business law attorneys counsel clients and structure transactions in the most tax beneficial manner for the client, oftentimes coordinating with the client's accountant. Almost all business transactions involve tax issues which may affect the business involved in the transaction and the owners of such business.

Our lawyers address tax matters such as recognizing capital gains instead of ordinary gains, achieving greater depreciation deductions, qualifying for 1031 tax free exchanges, structuring tax free reorganizations, structuring of entities to minimize taxes to the owners, and filing of proper paperwork in transactions to avoid tax penalties and fines.
