Mediation and Arbitration

In many cases, the lawyers at O'Reilly Rancilio help clients resolve their disputes without resorting to full-blown litigation. Settling a legal dispute through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) often avoids the expense, publicity, delay, and uncertainty of a decision by a trial judge or a jury. In many cases, ADR allows the parties their "day in court" while preserving business and family relationships, which can be forgotten through protracted litigation.

Many of our skilled Michigan lawyers also serve as case evaluators, mediators, and arbitrators and are often appointed by the court to assist in resolving matters. Our experienced and trained mediators employ a variety of ADR techniques to help people resolve their disputes in an efficient, collaborative manner, acting as a "neutral" to help bring parties together for resolution. In arbitration, our arbitrators render binding decisions after reviewing all evidence and arbitration testimony in an impartial and cost-effective alternative to the formal nature of court proceedings.
