Attorney Lori Smith, a shareholder at O’Reilly Rancilio, was recently named one of Michigan Lawyer Weekly’s Influential Women in Law.
According to the publication, the award honors women attorneys and judges for their excellent work on behalf of the justice system and for their clients, their commitment to their communities, and their service to the profession. Honorees are inspiring and accomplished leaders, serve as mentors to others, and contribute significant time and effort to volunteerism and/or pro bono initiatives.
Lori focuses her practice on all aspects of Family Law and has successfully represented clients in divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, and other proceedings. She also has experience in helping clients seeking adoption, pre-and post-nuptial agreements, and similar family law matters.
A believer in community service, Lori recently concluded her service as the 94th President of the Macomb Bar Association, and remains on its board of directors. She also serves as a former President and current Director of the Macomb County Bar Foundation.
Lori is also the serving as the current President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan: Macomb Region and the President of the Friends of Macomb County Veterans’ Treatment Court. She also serves on the Advisory Council for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen Jefferson House and as an assistant coach for the Sterling Heights Adaptive Softball League. In addition, Lori is active with Miss Amazing, a nonprofit organization that hosts beauty pageants for those with special needs.
